Full English Baguette

Full English Baguette


  • 2 large wholemeal baguettes (or 4 individual ones)
  • 4 cooked sausages
  • 4 slices of cooked bacon
  • 3 eggs
  • 200ml milk
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp grated cheese
  • 1 plum tomato, sliced

How to Make It

Pre-heat the oven to 200°C/Gas Mark 5 and line a baking tray large enough to take the two baguettes.

Place the baguettes on a chopping board and make a cut on top to create a “boat” shape, by scooping out some of the inside, to make a cavity.

Beat the eggs and milk together in a jug and add the salt.

Chop the sausages and bacon and place evenly in the baguette cavities.

Pour the egg mix into the bread cavities and top with the sliced tomato and grated cheese.

Place in the oven and bake for 20-25 minute until the eggs are set and the cheese golden and bubbling. 

Cut both baguettes in half and place onto 4 plates. Serve.
